Materials and care

Made to last

Materials & care

We work with high-quality, enduring materials: precious metals set with natural gemstones and sustainable diamonds, to make you shine all day, every day. Discover what each material is, and how to keep it beautiful forever.

Golden rules

  • Store your jewellery in a safe, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
  • Take off vermeil and silver jewellery before showering, swimming or exercising.
  • Clean gently: a soft polishing cloth, or warm (not hot) water.
  • Wear your favourite pieces often: it's the best way to keep them beautiful.
14k Gold

Solid gold

14k Gold

Gold is one of the least reactive elements: it doesn't combine easily with oxygen, which is why it stays so shiny. That makes 14k gold the perfect fit for an active lifestyle. It scratches less and doesn't easily bend or wear out. 14k gold won't oxidise or discolour, so you can wear it every day, everywhere.

How to care

We design and test every piece to withstand everyday wear, but even something as strong as gold deserves some care. To keep its shine, scrub lightly with a soft toothbrush and warm water.

Gold Vermeil

18k gold on sterling silver

Gold Vermeil

Gold vermeil is a thick layer of gold that gives our pieces their long-lasting colour, not to be confused with regular gold plating. We use 18k gold, at least 2 microns thick, layered over sterling silver.

How to care

Avoid sweat and water: take your vermeil jewellery off before exercising or showering. Store it in a safe, dry place away from direct sunlight, and clean it with a jewellery polishing cloth only, as anything else may cause scratches.

All our vermeil jewellery can be replated for free during the first year after purchase. After that, we ask a small replating fee.

Sterling Silver

925 silver

Sterling Silver

925 sterling silver is an alloy of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% copper. Our silver jewellery is plated in rhodium, which gives it extra shine and durability.

How to care

Sterling silver is sensitive to water and will oxidise over time, but the natural oils on your skin slow this down, so wear your favourite piece often. Avoid water when wearing it, store it in a safe, dry place away from direct sunlight, and clean it with dedicated silver cleaning products and a jewellery cloth, using warm rather than hot water.
